AutoTrading Scheduler (Turn OFF/ON MT4 EA On News Events) | FREE Forex MT4 EA
AutoTrading Scheduler is a MetaTrader expert advisor that lets you control the status of AutoTrading button in your MetaTrader platform based on a weekly schedule. This EA can attempt to terminate all trades when the disabled AutoTrading period is reached, in addition to enabling and disabling AutoTrading. Both MT4 and MT5 are supported by the expert advisor.
Please take note, this AutoTrading Scheduler requires DLL imports to work properly. It imports one function from the standard Windows DLL file (user32.dll). Do not forget to allow DLL imports when attaching this expert advisor to a chart.
The panel’s controls are easy to understand. The Scheduler can be turned on and off using the Switch button. You can switch between local and server time using the radio buttons on the right. If DLLs are deactivated, a connection is absent, or AutoTrading is already disabled, the status will alert you. The seven entry fields, one for each day of the week, are used to specify time periods for which AutoTrading should be enabled. The Set to all empty button will apply the value entered for Monday to all other empty days of the week, making it easy to create a consistent plan for each day. Finally, the bottom tick allows you to instruct the EA to attempt to close all open deals before deactivating AutoTrading.
When Scheduler is turned off, it does nothing. It will only work if you turn it on.
If you want Scheduler to work depending on your broker’s trading server time, for example, during daylight saving time flipping weeks, changing the time from Local to Server can be handy.
The status can be OK, No autotrading, No connection, or DLLs disabled. The first and second do not change anything; they simply notify you. The EA will not be able to close any trades before disabling AutoTrading if there is no connection, but it will disable AutoTrading without issue. When DLLs are deactivated, it will be unable to enable or stop AutoTrading.
Setting a valid weekly schedule is the most important aspect of using the Scheduler. During the time periods you specify, AutoTrading will be enabled.
The time input fields work with time ranges given in 24-hour format with start and finish time separate with a hyphen. For example, the range
9-17 will be interpreted as “from 9:00 till 17:00” (or “from 9 a.m. till 17 p.m.”).
More than one range can be given for the day using comma as a separator. For example, the range
13:30-16:30, 19:30-20:05 will enable AutoTrading during two periods: from 13:30 till 16:30 and from 19:30 till 20:05.
The main purpose of AutoTrading Scheduler is to manage the status of MetaTrader’s AutoTrading button. It can, however, be used to close trades before turning off AutoTrading. Ticking the checkbox at the bottom of the panel accomplishes this. The expert adviser will make every effort to close the positions and erase the pending orders, but there is no assurance that it will succeed. It will not try to close the trades again because its main priority is to deactivate AutoTrading, and managing trades becomes impossible once AutoTrading is removed.
- Slippage (default = 2) — slippage value given in broker’s pips to be used when closing positions.
- PanelOnTopOfChart (default = true) — if true, the panel will be drawn on foreground, and the chart will be drawn as background. Setting it to false will uncover the chart behind the panel.
